Music critics, experts in the field of concert Affairs rightly link the successes of the Bryansk Governor's Symphony orchestra with the activities of the artistic Director and chief conductor Eduard Hambardzumyan.

E. B. Hambartsumyan received an excellent education, having graduated from the Yerevan state Conservatory as a composer and conductor.

His teacher in conducting class, people's artist of Armenia, Professor Yu. Davtyan gave his talented student many secrets of conducting skills, awakened in him the ability to perceive the most subtle artistic impressions and translate these impressions into artistic images and ideas. Davtyan paid special attention to the education of the conductor's will among his students and the accuracy of the conductor's gesture, which allows the conductor to betray his thoughts and ideas of the orchestra. Yu. Davtyan, being a disciple and follower of the wonderful conductor of the 20th century I. B. Markevich, managed to convey a lot to E. Hambartsumyan from his mentor.

When at the concert you see the inspired conductor's gesture and the soulful face of E. Hambartsumyan, you involuntarily think that it is a vivid confirmation of the famous statement of the great conductor of the 20th century Bruno Walter: "the Conductor must be ready to create a true celebration of art every time anew with all his being."

It would not be an exaggeration to say that E. Hambardzumyan is able to create a joyful and incomparable sense of celebration of real art at the concerts of the orchestra. The creative appearance of the chief conductor of BGSO is distinguished by a bright personality.

In his performance attracts open emotionality and optimism, fullness of perception of the world and a powerful strong-willed tone.

Most importantly, he is able to captivate the orchestra with his plan, to reveal the depth and beauty of the score, to instill love and reverent attitude of the orchestra's artists to the performed works.

The importance and scale of the preparatory work of the conductor, with the orchestra of the earlier, pre-concert performances.

The undoubted merit of the head of the orchestra is the creation of a creative atmosphere in the rehearsal space of the orchestra and the ability to make invisible to the artists of the orchestra fear of overcoming orchestral difficulties. Ambartsumyan manages to follow the score accurately and read the author's notes, his remarks at rehearsals, brief, clear, contribute to a deep and accurate reading of the orchestral parts, their deep understanding.

The conductor's laconic word, classically clear gesture, benevolence and appropriate humor, impeccable possession of the score determine the special quality of the Ambartsumyan's rehearsals with the orchestra, when each rehearsal becomes significant and interesting. Often one point remark of the conductor significantly changes the ratio of the sound of individual parties, changes the interpretation of the orchestral part, in another way sets off the "voice" of the solo instrument.

The great energy of the conductor has a positive effect on the orchestra and on the audience. Deeply in love with music, he is able to charge the hall with his temperament and captivate listeners into the world of music, expanding the boundaries of spiritual empathy and living by listeners of musical impressions.

Over the years, for Bryansk and Bryansk music lovers BGSO became an object of special pride: he enlightens, admires his commitment to the ideals of the great Russian art, he opens for the younger generation of new and beautiful worlds of the unknown musical universe, it expands the boundaries of spiritual knowledge and ennobles the soul. That is why with such gratitude and love the widest listener circles of Bryansk region belong to collective of an orchestra and its conductor, calling BGSO esteemed and favourite ensemble of the most remarkable Bryansk musicians. In turn, E. B. Hambartsumyan immensely respects and appreciates the Bryansk audience, believes in its good taste and contributes to its proper formation. The bgso team expresses its deep gratitude and appreciation to the Government of the Bryansk region and personally to the Governor of the region Alexander Bogomaz for the attention to the team and all possible assistance in solving urgent issues of the orchestra's activity and creativity, for the good fatherly attitude and care for the orchestra.
